Wir freuen uns, mit ONE FELL SWOOP eine sensationelle, neue Formation aus den USA in der Brambus-Familie begrüssen zu können.
ONE FELL SWOOP hebt schnell ab. Die Band startete in St. Louis im Staate Missouri im Jahre 1993 als Trio und hat sich schnell und stark entwickelt. Anfangs 1998 als die Aufnahmen für das vorliegende Album eingespielt wurden, präsentierte sich die Gruppe als starkes Quintett mit ausgezeichneten Musikern und einer ausserordentlichen Frontfrau. Und innert kurzer Zeit hat es die Band auch auf viele Bühnen quer durch die USA geschafft und beginnt ihre Live-Arbeit im Frühjahr 1999 auch in Europa. Die Gruppe spielte bereits 1996 am renommierten FARM AID Festival an der Seite von Leuten wie WILLIE NELSON, NEIL YOUNG, STEVE EARLE und anderen und teilte auch an anderen Festivals die Bühne mit Grössen wie James McMurtry, Webb Wilder oder Whiskeytown. Die Kritikerstimmen in den USA sind gewaltig und bezeichnen die Mischung aus US-Folk, Acoustic-Rock und Country als SOULFOLK. Das Instrumentarium mit starken Stimmen und Dobro, Mandoline, Piano, Gitarren, Akkordeon, Drums, Stehbass und Fiddle ist klangfein und auch optisch interessant. Die Gruppe hat hervorragende Songschreiber in ihren Reihen und so überrascht es nicht, dass die ohrwurmartigen Songs des Debutwerkes in den USA sofort treue Fans fanden, was sich unter anderem an den Platzierungen in den GAVIN-Charts dokumentiert, wo das Album seit einigen Wochen platziert ist, derzeit auf Position 35. Eine heisse Acoustic Formation!

ONE FELL SWOOP takes off very quickly. The band started in St. Louis (Missouri) as a trio in 1993 and has developped quick and strong since then. Early 1998 when the recording for this album were done, the band represented a strong five-piece-lineup with excellent musicians and an outstanding female in front!
And within the short time of activity, the band got well ahead, played throughout most of the USA and is starting live work in Europe in early 1999. They played the reknown FARM AID Festival in 1996 along such acts like WILLIE NELSON, NEIL YOUNG, STEVE EARLE and others and they shared the stage of some festivals with other hot acts like James McMurtry, Webb Wilder or Whiskeytown.
