Injaztigator ist Programm. Der Neologismus aus Jazz und Investigator gibt die Richtung an. Bereits das Debutalbum „The Grammar Of Life“ ist ein Konzeptalbum das die Echos der Beat Generation von 1960 bis in die Jetztzeit untersucht. Auch das neue Album “Return to a Past Future” befasst sich konzeptionell mit den Zukunftsvisionen der 60er und 70er Jahre. Es ist die Zeit des “Space Age”, des Weltraumzeitalters.

Und so klingt Injaztigator nach einer spannungsreichen Mélange aus dem Retro Sound der 60er und 70er Jahre und aktuellen groovebetontem, eigenständigem Electronic Jazz.  Das Album wurde ausschliesslich mit analogen Synthesizern und Klangerzeugern eingespielt. Im Studio wurden weitgehend analoge Signalwege und Vintage Mikrophone verwendet. Der Mix erfolgte auf einer Studer analog Konsole.  Alle Kompositionen und Arrangements stammen aus der Feder von Keyboarder Immanuel Brockhaus, der sich auch für die Musik des ersten Albums verantwortlich zeigte.

Injaztigator, a neologism formed out of the words Jazz and Investigator, shows the direction. Already the first album “The Grammar Of Life” was a concept album searching for the echoes of the Beat Generation authors in the present. The new album “Return To A Past Future” is inspired by the vision of the future, as it was perceived back in the 60s and 70s.  This was the “Space Age “ time, a time in which the discovery of outer space and the search of new frontiers were omnipresent.

The music of Injaztigator is an interesting mixture of retro sounds from the 60s and 70s and contemporary electronic jazz with a strong groove component! The album was recorded using exclusively analog synthesizers and tone generators. Analog signal pathways were mainly used in the studio and the instruments were mostly recorded with vintage microphones using an analog Studer console. All compositions and arrangements were written by Immanuel Brockhaus, who also signed the compositions and arrangements of the first album.
